The Pickle Ride team stopped off in Honiton today (September 14), as part of a bike ride from Pendennis Point in Falmouth to the Admiralty Pub in Trafalgar Square, London.

The eight-man team of cyclists are undergoing the challenge as a fundraising event for the charity Care after Combat, which provides professional assistance for the wellbeing of veterans and their families.

The team congregated at the War Memorial outside St. Paul's Church on Honiton High Street at 10am.

They were greeted by members of the Chamber of Commerce, Alan Rowe MBE who founded The Baton Charity and members of the public.

East Devon District Councillor, Tony McCollum and Chamber of Commerce Treasurer, Ray Hanratty presented a cheque of £100, on behalf of the Chamber to The Baton Charity.

Alan Rowe MBE founded the charity back in 2009, to raise awareness and support the men and women of our armed forces who risk their lives so that we may live with freedom of choice, peace and safety.
