A cracking event to celebrate Easter and to raise money for a local good cause has got underway in the town.

Families are encouraged to get involved with Honiton's Great Easter Egg Hunt, with all proceeds from the sale of activity packs donated to Hospiscare.

Behind it are the same people who brought us the awesome Halloween Trail and the Christmas Winter Wonderland Walk.

Organiser Dawn Enticott said: "We have lots of prizes to be won and there are also 10 lucky bunnies to find in the packs to win a bunny hop surprise."

Activity packs are on sale at the Easter pop up shop in Livermore Road for a minimum donation of a £1.

Dawn went on to explain: "Packs contain a list that participants must fill out, of where the Easter eggs are found in our lovely Honiton shop windows located on the High Street and New Street – plus a few in between!"

Once complete they can then be returned to the Easter pop up shop, or sent to the Honiton's Great Easter Egg Hunt Facebook group which provides updates and is where the prize draw winners will be announced.

"We are very fortunate to have prizes donated from The Sweet Den, The Happy Humbug, Hunters Hair and Waitrose supermarket," Dawn added.
