Yesterday Val Royle, stalwart and founder of TRIP in 1997, stepped back as a leading member of the Trustees to a more Honorary role.
As the formal AGM was via video this year, Mandy Newman (Deputy Chair) was pleased to present Val with some flowers and card at The Yellow Deli as part of an informal celebration.
Val said she has been honoured to be involved with TRIP from the start and pleased to see how it has grown and established itself as a leading independent charity to support the people of East Devon.
She said she had made the decision to step back, due to commitments as part of her other voluntary work, but was honoured and pleased to be asked to stay on in a lesser, still important, role to help shape TRIP as it moves forward.
Mandy Newman said she was there to pass on the full committees thanks for her dedicated work over the years, adding the promise of a full committee and volunteer celebration, when guidance allows, to recognise her role fully.
