On Thursday (24 February) TRIP Honiton launches its new project, Volunteer 4 All, which will help people find volunteering opportunities in the community.

TRIP is a Honiton based charity that provides a range of services for local people, such as Befriending Hubs, community Christmas lunches, shopping delivery and help and advice on anything from filling in complicated forms to help with computers.

Their latest project, Volunteer 4 All, will engage people with their local community. TRIP will work with individuals and organisations to promote and create links and affiliations to help volunteers and organisations find the right individuals to meet their needs.

Volunteer 4 All has three main aims: Firstly, match volunteer's skills and interests to available opportunities. Secondly, provide training to help people volunteer successfully and finally offer ongoing support to ensure the position continues to benefit both the individual and the organisation.

Sam Williams is TRIP's Volunteer Co-ordinator. He told Nub News: "The Volunteer 4 All project is an extension of the work TRIP carried out during the pandemic.

"We believe the results of this project will prove invaluable to communities across East Devon and we are determined to showcase that there are opportunities which exist that can provide a much-needed boost to the wellbeing of our local communities."

The Open Days are taking place on February 24, 25 and 28, and 1 March. They will be held at TRIP's office at 122 High Street, Honiton.
