Marcus (aged 30), who is from Honiton, is part of Great Britain's skeleton team, who are currently in Beijing competing in the Winter Olympics.

After yesterday's second heats, Marcus finished in 17th position, with an overall time of 2:03.28.

Great Britain's other challenger, Matt Weston, came in 13th position, with a time of 2:02:49

After today's two heats, Marcus finished 16th and Matt came in 15th

Speaking to Nub News last week, Marcus said: "The track is technical, and mistakes seem to cost a lot of time, more so than other tracks so having four consistent race runs will probably be key.

"The experience has been amazing so far; the facilities are unbelievable, and it's just been so awesome being out here as part of Team GB."

The track at the National Sliding Centre in Beijing has proved challenging for the racers. The Team GB athletes started the races extremely well, but then they seemed to lose speed.

After the race, Marcus told the BBC that something didn't seem right, but that he was happy with the way he slid.

Well done, Marcus!
