Honiton's mayor opens Honiton's latest restaurant, King of Spice

A new restaurant opened on Honiton's New Street last week. It was opened on 18 November by the mayor of Honiton, John Zarczynski and the deputy mayor, Carol Gilson.
King of Spice is an Indian restaurant and it is run by Jaffar Sheikh and his partners.
Farzana Ghouse, whose husband is one of the owners, said: "We are really looking forward to being open in Honiton. We've heard so much about the people here. Hopefully, because it is high street, we will be rocking on and will be very busy!"
She continued: "The mayor and deputy mayor came in the evening for a meal and to open the restaurant. They said the food tasted very nice."
"We do deliveries, take away, dining in and parties and small ceremonies.
"People are always welcome to come and celebrate here because we have a small conference room."
The family used to have a restaurant in Axminster called Cinnamons, which they ran for twelve years.
They still live in Axminster, where their daughter, attends school.
King of Spice restaurant is open daily from 5pm - 11pm, apart from Tuesday when it is closed.
