Pizza Papi take-away van has joined Honiton's Saturday market.

Run by Robert Papworth of Sidmouth and his assistant Melissa Holloway, Pizza Papi offers customers a range of pizzas.

Robert used to be the chef at The Marine Pizzeria in Sidmouth. He started running Pizza Papi in June 2021.

He explains why he started the business: "The owners [of The Marine] left for a new venture in Bristol.

"There were plenty of people saying how much they would miss the pizzas, so this seemed the obvious option.

"The produce is all imported from Italy (even down to the sea salt) or sourced locally and is the same top quality that I was encouraged to use at The Marine."

Asked about joining the Honiton Market, Robert answered, "Honiton's a nice, traditional market town with a lot of history, so it's nice to join the story.

"The customers and local businesses have been very welcoming.

"Running my own business has been great so far, it's nice to have the freedom do things my own way, and to meet plenty of positive people along the way."

Pizza Papi is in Honiton every Saturday from 11.30am until 3pm.

They can also be found at Kennaway House in Sidmouth every Wednesday and Friday from 5.30pm until 8pm.
