The volunteer effort in Honiton, since the coronavirus crisis started affecting members of the community last month, has been phenomenal.
Representing the younger generation, 17-year-old Caleb and 16-year-old Jai Freemantle have been lending a hand to the Honiton coronavirus community response team.
The pair have even overcome their dislike of shopping to be of help to those who need it.
TRIP Deputy Manager, Sharon Thorne said: "Over the last two weeks Caleb and Jai have been volunteering with us.
"Whilst they originally signed-up for dog walking, they have now been out three days doing shopping - helping those who are self-isolating or vulnerable get their essential items.
"They said they hate shopping, but wanted to help and support the community.
"They are a great asset to the team and have been a tremendous help."
Much of the volunteer activity in reaction to Covid-19 has fallen under the umbrella of the Honiton Coronavirus Support Group, which includes a Help Line - 01404 384050 - and food delivery and shopping services provided by TRIP Community Transport Association.
To continue providing a lifeline for those who might not survive the crisis otherwise, they ask members of the public donate a small amount towards the cause.
