They've done it!

A group of students and staff from Honiton Community College sixth form have walked and run a 350-mile relay – the equivalent of the perimeter of Devon - in 24 hours.

The initiative has raised more than £1,500 – the target amount – for the FORCE Cancer Charity.

The course was marked out in their college field, with markers to show the various towns along the way.

The challenge began at 1pm on Thursday, June 24, and continued throughout the afternoon and night until 1pm the following day.

The college posted regular updates on Twitter as the relay runners and walkers undertook a total of 2,400 laps, thanking supporters who turned up to cheer them on.

In their final post, they praised the 'truly amazing effort' from everyone who had taken part, and again thanked everyone who had donated to the cause.
