The A30 has been closed in both directions between Daisymount and Honiton after a serious accident.

The road is likely to remain shut for several hours.

Motorists are being diverted via the A3180 at Daisymount, across the A3052 and onto the A375 at Sidford, where they can continue to the A30 at Honiton.

Highways England says it's working closely with our colleagues in Devon and Cornwall Police, who are leading on the incident.

Regular updates will be issued on the Highways England Twitter feed @HighwaysSWEST.

In the meantime, drivers are reminded to allow extra time for their journeys.
