UPDATE: Air ambulance called to A35 as fire service works to free trapped driver

UPDATE: Police were called at 3.15pm to Honiton, near the Windmill Garage, after reports of a single vehicle crash.

The vehicle was reported to have left the road and come to rest on its side.

One person is believed to be trapped in the vehicle and the fire service has been called.

Two passengers are safely out of the vehicle. The air ambulance is currently on the scene.

The condition of the driver is unknown at this time, but the injuries are 'not thought be to be life-threatening or changing'.

One lane of the A35 is blocked and traffic is queuing near Honiton after a crash this afternoon.

Devon and Cornwall Police reported the crash on the A35, Axminster Road, between Northgate Lane and Ramsden Lane at around 3.26pm today (September 2).

According to the police one lane of the A35 is blocked and traffic is queuing in the area.

Motorists are advised to avoid the area and find alternative routes.
