Air Ambulance lands in Honiton after railway worker injured

A major emergency response was sparked this morning after a railway worker suffered an injury near Hayne Lane in Honiton.

The Devon Air Ambulance, land ambulances and police vehicles attended the incident.

A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police said: "We received reports at 7.30am that a railway employee had fallen down a bank and was injured near Hayne Lane in Honiton.

"The man was located after a short search in the undergrowth and has suffered a suspected broken leg.

"The air ambulance has landed to assist with the casualty."

The incident has now been handed over to British Transport Police.
