All flights cancelled: Flybe ceases trading with immediate effect

By Hannah Corfield 17th Sep 2021

The airline Flybe has officially entered administration today (March 5) ceasing operation with immediate effect.

All flights have been grounded and people are warned not to travel to the airport as all Flybe flights have been cancelled.

In a statement this morning: "Flybe is unfortunately not able to arrange alternative flights for passengers.

"If you have a booking sold by another airline that includes travel on a Flybe flight, please contact the relevant airline or travel agent to confirm if there is any impact to your travel plans."

Councillor Stuart Hughes wrote: "Very sad news the demise of Flybe. The knock on effect will affect many local businesses."

A spokesperson for Honiton Chamber of Commerce said: "It obviously affects some of the 2400 employees of the company who live in Honiton.

"Many of these jobs are highly skilled and will be difficult to replace in the short term and will seriously affect some local families.

"It will to a lesser degree affect residents travel plans although that is just an inconvenience and not as serious."

Customers are also advised to monitor the Civil Aviation Authority website, click here for further information.
