Community book sale supports local pre school after theft

After a recent theft at Dunkeswell Pre School, Tesco Honiton have donated the proceeds of its community book sale to start the ball rolling and spur others to support this local group.
The pre school and Tesco Honiton have shared a long a precious relationship with support, donations and "seasonal appearances" many of the colleagues have had children, grandchildren and relatives attend the school and have seen it's benefits first hand.
When the news of the theft broke on social media the store decided that it would donate funds to the school.
After suffering a similar fate last year when the Christmas Lights fund was stolen from Tesco, the team at the shop knew and appreciated the fury and pain that theft can cause and the detrimental effect it has on the community.
We hope that the £200 initial donation will aid the families and children at the school and the further money collected until the end of May will make more of an impact.
Tesco have also pledged colleague time and support to aid with a potential Family Fun Day.
Anyone wishing to donate or aid the pre school can contact chairperson Debbie at the pre school or use the donation pot at Tesco.
