Man taken to hospital after car collides with telegraph pole in Feniton

A car has driven onto a pavement and collided with a telegraph pole in St. Andrews Close in Feniton.

Emergency services were called to the scene just before 9am this morning; including a fire engine, a police and two ambulances.

Nub News contacted a spokesperson for Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service, who said: "We received a call to attend St. Andrews Close in Feniton at 8.53am, where a 65-year-old man had driven into a telegraph pole.

"One appliance was sent out to release the man from the car using specialist equipment. The man was medically trapped, not physically.

"He was treated at the scene by paramedics and then taken to hospital by land ambulance."
