Car Fire at A30 West Upottery - Monkton

Date: 07.10.2018Time: 09:44Location: A30 West Upottery - MonktonDevon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service received a call from a member of the public reporting a car on fire at the above location.

Two fire appliances from Honiton and Chard were immediately mobilised by fire control.

On arrival the officer in charge confirmed that one car had been involved in fire in the engine compartment, but was out on arrival of crews.

Crews used a thermal imaging camera, a hose reel jet and small tools to ensure that the fire was fully extinguished before handing back to the vehicle owner.
