Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service received a call to a fire at the above location.

Fire control immediately mobilised one fire appliance from Honiton, one fire appliance from Ottery St Mary, one fire appliance from Topsham, on aerial ladder platform from Danes Castle and a duty officer to attend this incident.

On arrival the incident commander confirmed a small fire in the roof of property. Crews promptly got to work using two breathing apparatus, one hose reel jet, one covering jet to extinguish the fire and one thermal imaging camera to locate hotspots.

The incident commander confirmed the cause of fire was due to a light fitting exploding.
