CORONAVIRUS: Honiton's 'Entertainment Queen' keeping the community upbeat

One Honiton woman is helping to keep morale high by providing a daily dose of entertainment courtesy of her Facebook group, Stay at home and keep positive.

Sarah Fletcher, of Pale Gate Close, started the page as a way 'to get people through at this difficult time' with the aim of 'making people laugh at least once a day'.

Nub News spoke to Sarah, who said: "I used to work for the Haven Holiday Parks as part of the entertainment crew and I also used to run the Kid's Club for Hendra Holidays in Newquay, so injecting a bit fun into a situation comes naturally to me.

"It started off with just the children and families living close-by joining in dances and songs that I've posted, but it's now growing.

"I did the Peaky Blinders sketch, as I'm originally from the Midlands.

"It's amazing that in these scary times, when everything we know has been turned on its head and there's a lot of uncertainty, we can still rely on the community to come together.

"In fact, it's brought us closer together, even though we are all social distancing."

Sarah's Stay at home and keep positive page provides a regular source of light-hearted entertainment, from sketches to singalongs.
