Devon County Council comment on roadworks in town centre

By Hannah Corfield 17th Sep 2021

After receiving a complaint from one of our readers, with regards to what has been described as 'traffic mayhem' in the town centre, Honiton Nub News contacted Devon County Council to find out the official line on what is going on, and how long it is likely to last.

A DCC spokesperson said: "The permanent traffic signals were damaged on Sunday following a collision.

"Currently Western Power Distribution is carrying out work and once that's completed we will install portable signals until the damaged permanent lights can be repaired later in the month."

It appears likely that roadworks will be in place for at least two more weeks.
