On Friday May 17, between 2-4pm, the Thelma Hulbert Gallery will be hosting a volunteer event. The aim is to inform people on the rewarding work available to them through volunteering at the East Devon District Council owned gallery in Honiton.

Jess Huffman, Gallery Officer, said: "Come and discover all the volunteering opportunities on offer at the gallery; including greeting visitors, helping at Private Views, events and workshops, or doing a spot of gardening.

"THG really values and appreciates the commitment and dedication which are put in by our wonderful volunteers. They bring a wealth of experience and skills which keep our gallery open all year round for everyone to enjoy."

Anyone interested in volunteering will be able to relax in the garden and try their hand at origami with artist Anna Aroussi. They will also have the chance to meet other volunteers over a cup of tea and a slice of cake.
