A drive-in cinema experience has been booked for Honiton and will set up on Allhallows Playing Field over the coming August bank holiday weekend.
Honiton Nub News spoke to organisers Jason and Nathan Hannay, who told us: "We have now had the confirmation we need from East Devon District Council to hold the event on Allhallows.
"It's being run as part of the Honiton Forward movement and is a break-even venture, so whatever we charge will literally cover the costs.
"We have decided on a schedule (see below) bookended by two classics and will also have a pizza oven, along with Howling Wolf Coffee and Happy Humbug serving sweets to enjoy whilst watching.
"It should make for a great evening of entertainment, that's also relatively risk-free, as people are confined to their individual vehicles."
The films scheduled are 'Grease' (1978) on Friday 28, 'Bohemian Rhapsody' (2018) on Saturday, 'A Star is Born' (2018) for Sunday, finishing up with 'Dirty Dancing' (1987) on the Monday. Each viewing starts at 8pm.
Full capacity is 20 cars, so booking will be necessary. Honiton Nub News will keep you posted as soon as online booking is made available.
