An East Devon man is spending a month walking from Land's End to John O'Groats to raise awareness of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) among serving and former members of the armed forces.

Kheiron Howard is a serving Royal Marine. He and his wife Rebecca are co-founders of the charity My Oppo, which supports people with PTSD and their families all over the UK.

He set off from Land's End on Sunday, August 1, and aims to walk 30 miles a day for 30 days, sleeping in a hammock every night.

He is dedicating each two miles to a life lost in the Afghanistan conflict, and will be doing all he can to raise awareness of the signs and symptoms of PTSD throughout his walk.

Kheiron and Rebecca have set up a GoFundMe page to pay the daily cost of his journey of around £30 for food and water – any extra raised will go to the charity.
