The first ever Honiton Hill Rally took place in 1971, after a group of local vintage farm machinery enthusiasts had the idea of holding an event to exhibit their various engines and equipment.

The event was officially inaugurated the Honiton Hill Veteran Tractor and Horse Ploughing Rally, known more colloquially as Honiton Hill Rally.

Since its humble beginnings, when it was first held on the Sunday of the August bank holiday in 1971 at Firs Farm in Offwell, the event has gone from strength to strength.

It captures the imaginations of thousands local supporters - who get to witness a rare display of farming heritage, whilst bringing the community together for a fun day out.

Honiton Hill Rally has since expanded and moved locations, before ending up at its current site on Smeatharpe Airfield in 2016.

An adult ticket costs £10 and children get in for free. As usual, the auction will take place on the Monday at 10am, with viewing on Sunday.
