Firefighters were called to a tractor fire near Upottery last night.

Two fire engines from Honiton were dispatched to a field near Upottery at around 9.20pm on Friday, March 28, after reports of a large fire.

When firefighters reached the scene they found the source of the blaze was a tractor.

Two firefighters wearing breathing apparatus extinguished the fire using a hose reel jet.

The tractor was 'severely damaged' in the fire, which is believed to have started accidentally.
