The Met Office has issued a fresh weather warning for heavy rain in the Honiton area.

A Yellow Weather Warning for heavy rain has been issued by the Met Office for Tuesday (November 26) and Wednesday.

The public have been told to expect:

-Spray and flooding on roads probably making journey times longer.

-Bus and train services probably affected with journey times taking longer.

-Flooding of a few homes and businesses is likely.

The Environment Agency has also issued a flood alert for the Rivers Otter and Sid, and the Exmouth area.

A spokesperson for the EA said: "Over the last 24 hours we have seen heavy rainfall over East Devon. This has resulted in river levels rising. Further rain is forecast overnight into Monday morning.

"This will cause river levels to remain high in the area. Take care near the areas of concern and monitor your local weather conditions."

Today in Honiton we should expect blustery showers throughout the day with some dry interludes and breaks in the cloud. There may also be fog on high ground.

Tonight will start dry but a heavy band of rain will be pushing in from the south west during the early hours and into Tuesday morning.

Tuesday will start wet and windy but the heaviest rainfall is expected to clear by the late morning. However, heavy showers and strong winds are expected to last all day.

Wednesday will be wet and windy too but the heavy rain and strong winds should subside as we go into Thursday and Friday.
