If you needed confirmation that Honiton is a town with a big heart, then the display set up in Tesco car park today [June 8] proved just that.

The event showcased some of the incredible services on offer in the town, which aim to improve the lives of people living in the area.

The event was organised by the Honiton Health Matters group, which is a signposting service for help and support available in the town and was facilitated by Tesco Community Manager, Duncan Sheridan-Shaw.

Among those present, was the Open Arms East Devon charity. The initiative was started by Garry Wakeman, after he witnessed first-hand a lack of support for those suffering with mental health in the area.

Group sessions run every Tuesday and Friday, from 10.30am to 4pm at Dunning Court, Honiton, providing activities and support for anyone who needs it.

Watch the video at the top of the article for more information on the services present at Honiton's health awareness event.
