A new car wash and valet business is opening on Saturday, and Honiton Town Councillor Jake Bonetta will be cutting the ribbon at 10am!

Shine on Car Valeting Service is located in Lace Walk carpark, and they will also offer home washes and valets.

On Saturday 5 March the business will be officially opened by Cllr Jake Bonetta and there will be drinks and chocolate available to those who come along on the day!

Sarah Fletcher (aged 47) is the owner of Shine on Car Valeting Service and she has lived in Honiton for ten years. For the last few years, she has worked for the family cleaning business doing administration and cleaning.

She told Nub News: "We really excited about this new business!

"It was my dad's idea to open a carwash, two years ago. His name is Terry Cooper. But with Covid, we had challenges to get it started.

"We are eco-friendly as we hardly use any water. Where a normal car wash uses 200 litres, we use about 5 litres per car.

"We saw the potential of the car valeting service as people often have to wait a long time at other car washes in town.

"The beauty of our car valeting service is you can leave your car go and do some shopping and come back to a clean car!"

Shine On Valeting Service is open Tuesdays to Saturdays and they are currently looking for staff to join the team on a self-employed basis.

The official opening is on Saturday 5 March at 10am.
