Honiton residents can apply to Devon County Council for a free street party licence to mark the coronation.

King Charles III's coronation will take place in Westminster Abbey on the morning of May 6. This will be followed by Coronation Big Lunches on Sunday 7 May, which will bring communities together.

Monday 8 May will be a one-off Bank Holiday.

Applications for street parties can be made for any of these three days.

As well as street parties, Devon will see a wave of other events take place including galas, markets, commemorative lunches and fairs.

As with the Queen's Jubilee celebrations, anyone wishing to host a street party will need to apply for a licence.

Applications need to be submitted by 26 March.

In May 2022 Honiton Town Council organised a road closure for Honiton High Street to host the Big Tea event for the Queen's Jubilee.

You can apply for a licence here.
