There has been speculation as to whether or not the Honiton Argos store on Heathpark Way will reopen again, having remained closed after lockdown.

The business listing on Google states 'temporarily closed', while Honiton ceases to be indexed on the Argos website store locator.

Honiton Nub News contacted Argos for clarification on whether the Honiton store has been closed permanently, and if not when it might reopen inline with current Government guidelines.

A spokesperson for Argos said: "On 15 June we started a first phase of Argos standalone store openings for collection and return.

"We also recently announced that we're working to reopen more stores this month as part of our phased approach.

"To date we have reopened over 280 stores. Customers can find their nearest open store by visiting the Store Locator page on our website.

We will keep our customers and colleagues updated on our plans."

This statement fails to offer much in the way of clarification, which Honiton Nub News has flagged to a member of the press office team.

We have been promised a more comprehensive statement will soon follow and will bring you any updates as soon as we get them.
