Honiton Carers enjoyed a lovely afternoon doing a flower workshop with Julie Spiller on Wednesday 9 August.

We all learnt how do a floral table arrangement and although it looked so very easy to do, it was quite challenging for a lot of us.

Julie started off demonstrating how best to do a "modern" floral table decoration.

We were amazed how few flowers she used together with some grasses and coloured straw, which she artfully twisted around and fixed to the oasis. After that she and her granddaughter Roxy supported us all doing our very own display.

Somehow they did no end up looking quite likes Julie's, however the results were fabulous and it was really lovely for everyone to be able to take their own display home.

A huge thank you to Julie Spiller and Roxy for a wonderful afternoon much enjoyed by all.

The session was finished off with a lovely afternoon tea and the usual raffle with an enormous amount of prizes mostly donated by the carers themselves. If you are a carer and would like to join us, please get in touch with Winnie on 07974 636926 or email [email protected] for more information.
