Come along for a free guided walk with your dog

Devon Loves Dogs is running free guided walks in East Devon, and the next one is on Wednesday 16 February at Core Copse, a stunning woodland area and part of East Devon's Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

The walk has been organised by Devon Loves Dogs, which is a group for dog owners and dog walkers. Their objective is to protect Devon's countryside and encourage responsible dog ownership, to protect our landscape and preserve it for the future.

Core Copse is part of East Hill Strips, located near Honiton, Sidmouth and Ottery St. Mary. The area has a range of walking areas, and it is extremely popular with dog walkers.

The views from the top stretch towards Newton Poppleford and the coast beyond.

The woodland area is part of East Devon's Area of Outstanding Beauty. It offers veteran trees, spectacular displays of bluebells and other wildflowers.

There are also historical monuments, which date from prehistory to the Napoleonic Wars. There are also more recently made dens for children to explore!

Wednesdays' walk will be guided by Rob from the Forestry England.

The walk will take place between 10am and 12pm.
