Honiton entertainer bringing positive vibes again for second lockdown

Amid the doom and the gloom brought on by a global pandemic, we have seen the community spirit shine through here in Honiton.

When it comes to putting a smile on people's faces during lockdown, 45-year-old Honiton woman, Sarah Fletcher, has been delivering the goods since the start.

"I started keeping Alert and positive for the rest of 2020 Facebook group at the beginning of the first lockdown to spread positivity and laughter," Sarah told Honiton Nub News.

"Initially it was just positive posts and comedy sketches.

"Then someone suggested I sing and dance, like when I was a Haven Mate in my 20s.

"So, I started live entertainment shows for all the family, from children to adults, every weekend."

Speaking about what else inspires her material, she explained: "We normally holiday with my three nephews at Hendra Newquay in Cornwall, so I've learnt a lot of party dances from there.

"I love making people smile and from the feedback I've had my shows made them forget that we were in lockdown.

"I did stop the live shows, as I went back to work for the family business."

Now that the second lockdown is almost upon us, Sarah is bringing back her live shows from this coming weekend.
