Honiton firefighters helped tackle a burning car at Upottery earlier today (Tuesday, August 31).

Fire control received several calls about the incident just off the A30 about 11.40am.

Crews from Chard and Honiton put out the fire and worked with Highways to deal with a spillage of diesel from the vehicle.

The fire, which completely destroyed the car, is thought to have started accidentally and is not being treated as suspicious.
