There were queues of vehicles at the Tesco filling station in Honiton today (Tuesday, September 28), but no signs of fuel supplies running dry.
A friendly marshall was controlling the vehicles entering the forecourt and directing them to the pumps.
She told Honiton Nub News: "It's going OK - very busy."
She couldn't say when the next fuel delivery was due, but said the station wasn't running out yet and was not rationing the amount of fuel customers could buy - although this could be an option if the situation doesn't improve.
The national supply shortage continues to make headlines as many parts of the country experience severe problems.
The British Medical Association has called on the Government to put a plan in place – warning that health and care workers cannot spend hours queuing for fuel when they're needed to look after patients.
But earlier today the Transport Secretary Grant Shapps said there were the first 'tentative signs of stabilisation' in the amount of fuel on petrol station forecourts, and he urged motorists to go back to their normal buying habits.
