The Met Office has issued a further yellow weather warning for rain today, lasting until the early hours of tomorrow morning.

The warning covers the majority of southern England, and is in force from 4pm to 3am tomorrow (Thursday 21 October).

According to the Met Office, 'Wet and windy weather likely brings some disruption to parts of southern England this evening and overnight.'

The organisation is advising the public that a few homes and businesses could be flooded, bus and train services affected, and flooding on roads could increase journey times.

Bright sunshine is also forecast from 9am tomorrow, with highs of 12 degrees and lows of 9.

Wind speeds will be moderate with gusts of up to 22mph.
