Charitable causes operating in Honiton have again benefitted from the proceeds of a community book sale.

Books are donated and sold by customers passing through the foyer at Tesco. This time health and wellbeing was the focus, with Honiton Health Matters, Parent+ Support Hub and Honiton Carers receiving a cheque for £100.

Community Manager, Duncan Sheridan-Shaw said: "Tesco is immensely proud of its long standing relationship with all the health and wellbeing communities groups that exist in our area.

"The three groups that have received the donations today are committed to serving our community and everything they do has enormous potential to reach so many.

"We at Tesco Honiton will do all we can to maintain a positive relationship with so many of our local community groups and we invite all health and wellbeing groups to contact us here at the store."

Winnie Cameron, Chair of Honiton Carers Support Group commented: "We would like to say a huge thank you to Duncan at Honiton Tesco for the £100 donation from their book sales.

"This is very much appreciated and will go towards the arts and crafts sessions the carers love doing for respite."
