The latest production by the Honiton Community Theatre Company starts today and tickets are still available.

The Beehive is hosting Disney's High School Musical and it is set to be another fantastic show from the local actors and singers.

The show follows the story of Troy Bolton, a popular basketball player, and Gabriella Montez, an intelligent new student, in their journey to overcome the status quo in their high school.

Together they set out to inspire other students to be confident enough to show their true selves and be who they want to be.

The production of High School Musical starts today (August 2) (Credif: Honiton Theatre Company)

Charlotte McGrath, who has been part of the theatre company for two years, told Nub News: "Come down to The Beehive where Honiton Community Theatre Company proudly presents its energetic performance of Disney's High School Musical.

"There will be lots of singing, dancing, and cheerleaders!

"Local kids have worked their socks off learning the songs and dance routines. An incredible show awaits."

The show will be on from Wednesday August 2 to Saturday August 5.
