Not prepared to queue in a car park getting cold, or wait until the end of April for a delivery to restock your cupboards with basic items?

If you live in Honiton you have an alternative, which also serves to support local livelihoods. It's a win-win.

A collective of High Street businesses have banded together to bring you a home delivery service, including; The Lacemakers Café, Porkies, Crusty Cob, Wine World, Fowlers Eggs, Wine World and Creature Comforts.

The service covers most of the essential items one would require for comfortable self isolation.

Ray and Fiona Hanratty of The Lacemakers Café started the initiative as a way to make ends meet with the café closed and to provide the community with essential items delivered to their door.

They are offering people home-cooked fair off their menu, here to have a look, along with everyday items - such as toilet paper and tea - which they get off their suppliers.

In addition to this you can select items for your pet, meat and eggs, fresh bread - plus a bottle of plonk to enjoy whilst isolating at home.

Or, why not provide for a friend or relative living in the town?

Visit the website or call 01404 44816 to place an order over the phone.

Orders can be picked up, or a free, safe distance delivery service can be arranged.
