Organisers of Honiton Hill Rally have taken the 'extremely difficult' decision to postpone the event until 2022, with last year also cancelled due to the pandemic.

A statement read: "It is with much regret and sadness that we announce that the 47th Honiton Hill Rally will no longer be taking place this year and will be postponed until August bank holiday 2022.

"Due to the ongoing coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic and safeguarding the attendees, we will not be able to hold a full rally with many sections reduced in size or not able to attend.

"We have today taken the extremely difficult decision to postpone for a second year to safeguard the future of the rally so we can bring you the show you expect."

Organisers have promised that Honiton Hill Rally will be back with 'new working demonstrations' and a 'bigger buzz' at the Smeatharpe Airfield site in 2022 where they 'look forward to seeing everyone'.
