Market Superintendent, Honiton

Honiton Town Council is looking to recruit a Market Superintendent. The role will attract somebody who has a passion for making Honiton an even more vibrant town, an exciting place to visit, and contributing to the economic vitality of the town, attracting more traders.

The Town Council holds the historic Honiton Market Charter and the role will need to work with other Town Event organisers and the retail business community to manage the High Street on market days.

This is an exciting time to join the Town Council to work with a dedicated group of Council staff and elected Councillors to work in the heart of Honiton's community.

The role is mainly outdoors working with the Market stallholders, shopkeepers and the public. A robust, level head and cheerful attitude will be needed when working amongst a wide range of people. Some administration will be required to collect insurance documents, registration forms, market fees and to handle money.

Training will be provided, in particular to promote your health & safety and wellbeing.
