Honiton man charged with alleged burglary, theft and driving offences in East Devon

A Honiton man has been charged with a number of alleged burglary, theft and driving offences in East Devon.

Robert Bastin, aged 25, of Mill Street, Honiton, was arrested by police on Monday, April 1, and appeared at Exeter Magistrates' Court on Tuesday, April 2.

He has been charged with:

-Theft of a motor vehicle in Honiton between March 26 and 27;

-Theft of a registration plate in Sidford between March 29 and 30;

-Non-dwelling burglary at Tesco Express, High Street, Sidmouth, on March 30;

-Non-dwelling burglary at Budgens, Queen's Drive, Exmouth, on April 1;

-Failure to comply with a driving licence on March 20;

-Driving without insurance on March 20;

-Failure to comply with a driving licence in a stolen vehicle on April 1;

-Driving without insurance on April 1.

Bastin has been remanded in prison and awaits a further court date.
