Honiton has long been leading the way when it comes to dementia awareness and providing support for those affected.

Honiton Dementia Action Alliance (HDAA), which runs the town's Memory Cafe and has helped secure a dedicated Admiral Nurse, campaigns tirelessly to improve the lives of people and families living with dementia in the community.

This week being Dementia Action Week, Honiton celebrated its status as a 'Dementia Friendly Community', with the HDAA posting: "A huge thank you to all our supporters for helping us to raise awareness and make Honiton a safe and inclusive place to be if you are living with dementia."
