A martial arts club, located on Honiton High Street, is celebrating students' success, despite the difficulties faced by gyms and training facilities in the fight against Covid-19.

Twin Tigers Martial Arts and Boxing Club, which opened in October 2019, has had a tough first year battling lockdowns – but the group has powered through as best they can.

While no parties could be held to award students' accomplishments over 2020, the club has acknowledged two members for going 'above and beyond'.

Coach Paul Quick said: "Unfortunately, we have not been able to hold an end of year party where we announce our 'student if the year'.

"However, after a discussion with the other coaches we selected Emily Mully for senior student and Callie Martin for junior student of the year.

"These young ladies have gone above and beyond at the gym, we are very proud of what Emily and Callie have and are achieving from helping in the class to training.

"No matter how much you ask of them they train hard and give their all."
