A new bakery has opened in Honiton on Lions Court.

Read Grain Bakery opened earlier this month and is run by Antionette and Gary Mercer.

The bakery has been up and running for two years as a wholesale business, but last week they opened a shop on Black Lion Court, in the former Mulberry Manor site.

Open every Saturday, real Grain Bakery sells a range of items including sourdough bread, sweet cinnamon buns, donuts and other cakes.

Everything is handmade using organic grains grown and stone ground in the UK, with much of the grain coming from the South West.

Antionette and Gary have been working in the baking industry for 15 years. They started working at a bakery in London before working for themselves selling bread and savoury items at a farmer's market and then settled in Honiton in 2017 with their two children.

Real Grain Bakery is open on Saturdays from 9am - 1pm. You can find them at Unit 11 in Black Lion Court.
