This morning (November 11), Honiton paused to remember those who have lost their lives in conflict.

Rev. Sue Roberts led a service and the town observed a two minute silence at 11am.

More than one hundred people attended the event, including a contingent from Honiton College.

Paul Shaw, of the British Legion Honiton, commented: "It was great to see so many people turn out to join in the act of homage."

A more formal service and parade will be held on Sunday 14 November with the Royal British Legion, veterans and local youth groups.

Sunday's service is at Paul's Church and starts at 3pm.

Those who wish to lay a wreath at this service may do so during the service.
