Honiton: Plane crash landed in road near Dunkeswell

A small aeroplane landed on a road just outside Honiton, near Dunkeswell Airfield.

The incident happened on Saturday 6 August and there were no injuries reported.

Dunkeswell Airfield is located about 15 minutes drive from Honiton. The airfield begun as a WW2 Naval Base and it now offers a range of aviation activity, including parachuting and offering landing and take-off for small planes

A member of the public took a photo of the aircraft with its nose up against the pavement.

Emergency services attended the scene and the plane was accessed for damage.
