This morning (December 13) Queen Street closed for all through traffic.

The road has been closed to allow new water services to be installed.

Queen Street is a busy thoroughfare connecting Honiton town centre with the A35 traffic.

Although the expected completion date is Tuesday 21 December, the notification from Devon County Council warns it could take up to 18 months.

The alternative route for vehicles will be via Church Hill and then along Waterleat Avenue.

There will be diversion signs in place to direct the traffic.
