Honiton Rugby Football will soon be playing on 'the field of dreams' at Twickenham as they look to become the first National Champions in the club's history.
The Ton boys will grace the field of dreams at Rugby HQ on May 5 against Northallerton to decide who is crowned the RFU National Senior Vase Champions.
Club spokesman Chris Gould said: "When we started talking about this really ambitious plan about 18 months ago people thought we were mad but after a tremendous performance by the boys our dream of getting to Twickenham came true.
"What can be achieved when you get a group of hard working, passionate, dedicated people whether they are players, coaches, supporters, volunteers or sponsors all pulling in the same direction is frankly unbelievable.
"I want to say a huge thank you to everyone at the club who has served a meal, pulled a pint, sold a raffle ticket, done a pitchside collection, swept a clubhouse floor, helped with the build, supported us financially and of course given 120% on the pitch from under 7 to first 15 we could not have done it without every single one of you."
As anticipated, the club has had an 'extremely large amount of enquiries' regarding tickets and travel for the game. As a result, the committee has been working hard to develop a series of travel options for supporters that will enable as many Tonites as possible to make the trip and cheer on the boys as they look to become the first National Champions in the history of HRFC.
The packages available are aimed at providing as wide a range of options as possible to cater for all needs. The prices have been kept as low as possible, whilst also covering the upfront costs that the club have settled in advance with the travel company. The price for each package can be viewed on the online booking portal by clicking the red button below.
