South Western Railway (SWR) has confirmed there will be further strikes on the railway this month.

There will be no trains through Honiton on Saturday 26 August and only a very limited service on other SRW lines. Services will only run between 7am and 7pm.

Services on Sunday 27 August will start later than usual and are likely to be very busy.

Passengers have been asked to avoid all but essential travel on these days and to check their journey before departure.

RMT union members are striking over pay and changes to working conditions in a dispute that has been going on for almost two years.

There will be further strikes on Friday 1 and Saturday 2 September and the details will be released in due course.
