The Beehive is opening a café which will be open everyday of the week, apart from Sundays.

The café forms part of its plan to become financially self-sufficient.

The Beehive is an award-winning arts centre. It hosts a range of events including cinema, live music and community events. Many of the staff who work there are volunteers.

Previously the café space has only been used before and after events. Apart from these times, the café has been closed.

A spokesperson for The Beehive said: "The café bar at the Beehive is a lovely, airy space with good facilities, including parking."
